At the initiative of the Archdiocese of Veszprém, the Bódi Mária Magdolna “traveler’s stones” were launched – not merely as keepsakes, but as messengers of the soul.
Each stone carries the gentle yet unshakable faith, purity, and courage of Bódi Mária Magdolna – bringing them to the very places where they are most needed. To the places where someone is waiting for a sign, a word of encouragement, or even just a faint ray of hope.
In recent weeks, more and more reports have come in about where these special stones have been found:
-
In Tagyon, at the foot of the statue of Saint Anthony
-
In Bodajk, at the famous pilgrimage site
-
In the Koloska Valley, on the “Little Jesus Star Path”
-
In Tápiógyörgye, in the garden of Saint Anne’s Church
And now even in France: one has been discovered in the Cathedral of Reims, and another near Notre Dame in Paris.
Perhaps the most moving message came from Budapest, from the chapel of the National Institute of Oncology. A pilgrim placed one of the stones there, along with these few lines:
“This morning, my mother and I placed the Bódi Mária Magdolna traveler’s stone shown in the picture in front of the chapel of the National Institute of Oncology.
We thank whoever finds it for helping it continue its journey!
Thanks be to God, the test results have come back negative!
We give thanks to and ask for the intercession of Magdi Bódi!”
A small stone – and yet so much can be held within it: faith, hope, petition, gratitude, healing, consolation.
Whoever finds or places a traveler’s stone becomes part of a silent chain of prayer. This network now embraces not only the Carpathian Basin but stretches far beyond – carrying the imprint of Magdi’s love and her faithfulness to Christ, reminding us again and again: there is meaning in fidelity, in goodness, in the sacrifices of quiet heroes.
If you find a stone, or if you place one somewhere – pause for a moment. Pray. Give thanks. Ask. And know this: you are not alone.
