In recent days, Archbishop György Udvardy paid a visit to the Integrated Institution for Persons with Disabilities, Psychiatric Patients and People with Addictions of Veszprém County in Darvastó, where he spent a meaningful morning together with the residents and staff. During his visit, the Archbishop celebrated Holy Mass, offering prayer and encouragement to all who were present.
The encounter was filled with attentive presence, shared prayer and genuine dialogue, once again bearing witness to the Church’s closeness to those who live with vulnerability and special needs.
At the end of the visit, Archbishop Udvardy received a particularly touching gift: carefully prepared and lovingly wrapped “travelling stones” dedicated to Blessed Mária Magdolna Bódi, created by the residents themselves. These small, hand-painted stones are meant to continue their journey, carrying messages of hope, faith and kindness from one person to another.
This simple yet profound gesture reflects the spirit of Blessed Mária Magdolna Bódi, whose life was marked by attentive love, joyful service and trust in God. Through these travelling stones, her witness continues to inspire encounters and to remind us that even the smallest gift can become a bearer of grace.
The visit to Darvastó once again affirmed that every human life is precious, and that love, when given freely, always finds its way forward.
