Only ten days remain until that historic moment when the Church will raise Mária Magdolna Bódi, the martyred witness of faith, to the ranks of the Blessed in Veszprém.
Archbishop György Udvardy joyfully renewed his invitation: “With great joy I invite everyone to join us on September 6 to give thanks for Mária Magdolna Bódi and to be strengthened in faith by her example.”
The Archbishop highlighted that more than nine thousand people have already registered for the celebration, and the number is approaching ten thousand. It is also a source of great joy that many young people have joined the youth gathering. As part of the common preparation, the faithful are praying a novena and litanies, while numerous communities are organizing individual spiritual preparations as well.
“I await everyone so that, with enthusiasm and joy, we may take part in this celebration to which our Church calls us, to give thanks for Mária Magdolna Bódi,” the Archbishop emphasized.
The beatification will take place on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., in the area behind the Veszprém Arena.
