Even before the papal decree was proclaimed, the Archdiocese of Veszprém declared a commemorative year in honor of József Mindszenty and Mária Magdolna Bódi in the spring of 2024.

After the Holy Father recognized the young girl’s martyrdom, the Vatican also set the date for the beatification. The Archdiocese of Veszprém has announced a six-month period of preparation for the events of 2025.

The beatification ceremony for Mária Magdolna Bódi will take place on April 26, 2025, in Veszprém.
