The Archdiocese of Veszprém has prepared a special gift for the pilgrims arriving for the beatification of Magdolna Maria Bódi: two spiritual booklets entitled “On the Road with Magdi”, created to support the faithful in their preparation.
On the Road with Magdi I serves as a companion on the journey towards the beatification. With its help, those arriving by train, bus, car, bicycle, or even on foot can attune their hearts to the celebration. Short Scripture passages, stories from Magdi’s life, prayers, and reflections guide pilgrims into silence and prayer. The booklet focuses on six themes – love of nature, determination, spiritual strength, creativity, joy, and courage – all key traits of Magdi’s personality.
On the Road with Magdi II was prepared for after the beatification. It helps the faithful to carry the graces of the celebration home and to live them out in daily life. It highlights nine areas – including the poor, the sick, children, families, priests, and young people – each accompanied by testimonies from Magdi’s life, short prayers, and reflections.
The two resources complement one another: the first strengthens the spirit of joyful anticipation of the pilgrimage, while the second nurtures thanksgiving and the witness that flows from it. The intention of the Archdiocese of Veszprém is that the faithful may not only be present at the September 6 celebration, but also bring home the graces they receive, sharing them within their families and communities. Inspired by Magdi’s example, they too may become witnesses of faith, purity, and love.
