The Library and Archives of the Archdiocese of Veszpr\u00e9m has published a popular study volume titled The Legacy of Magdolna M\u00e1ria B\u00f3di<\/em>, which was presented with the participation of the Apostolic Nuncio to Hungary.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The frescoed room of the Bir\u00f3-Giczey House was filled to capacity for the book launch of The Legacy of Magdolna M\u00e1ria B\u00f3di<\/em>. Archbishop Dr. Gy\u00f6rgy Udvardy welcomed the gathered audience, expressing his honor at the nuncio\u2019s presence at the event.<\/p>\n

“We scheduled the exhumation of Magdolna M\u00e1ria B\u00f3di’s grave in Lit\u00e9r for today, and have come here from that event. The complete exhumation has not yet taken place, but participating in this process is truly moving,” he said.<\/p>\n

Following this, Michael Wallace Banach, the Apostolic Nuncio to Hungary, addressed the audience.<\/p>\n

“Welcome, and thank you for the invitation! Three thoughts came to mind regarding this book launch. First, the importance of academic research. This has always been a part of our Catholic faith. We have universities, high schools, and schools, contributing to the development of society through these institutions. I thank you for the thorough research that went into this book.”<\/p>\n

“The second important point is to always seek some form of truth. When people hear of another martyr, they may think these martyrs were unusual, peculiar people. But when there is well-prepared material like this book, we, as believers, as Catholics, can present ourselves positively. Our work does not end with the publication of a book. This brings me to my third point. We are all called to bear witness, just as this future Blessed did.”<\/p>\n

Enik\u0151 Lo\u00f3szn\u00e9 D\u00f6m\u00f6t\u00f6r, head of the Archdiocese of Veszpr\u00e9m\u2019s office, noted that in January, the Archbishop established a working group and launched the \u2018Mindszenty 80\u2019 and \u2018B\u00f3di M\u00e1ria Magdolna 80\u2019 years.<\/p>\n

“We are currently in the first half of these two commemorative years. We have experienced that everything we have intended to organize for these years has been supported by God a thousandfold, and we have received many blessings. I would like to highlight that beyond our spiritual preparations, we are also launching the Magdolna M\u00e1ria B\u00f3di website. All relevant information will be shared here. We are thinking of our catechists and schools as well, with lesson plans being prepared for them,” she emphasized.<\/p>\n
