During the 2025 Gizella Days, we once again present B\u00f3di M\u00e1ria Magdolna\u2014the saintly young woman from Lit\u00e9r\u2014as a shining example. She was to be beatified by the Church on April 26. However, due to the death of Pope Francis, the beatification has been postponed, and the liturgical celebration will take place at a later date. Still, Magdi\u2019s life and spirituality remain present among us\u2014as a witness to hope, love, and living faith.<\/p>\n
As part of the Gizella Days, several programs will focus on highlighting Magdi\u2019s personality, virtues, and legacy.<\/p>\n
On Saturday and Sunday between 12:00 and 18:00, families are invited to a variety of thematic experience-based programs at Trinity Square.<\/p>\n
A special atmosphere will be created by “Magdi\u2019s Flower Garden”<\/strong>, the timeless chalk-drawing activity that made its debut with great success last year. From the Bir\u00f3-Giczey House through Trinity Square all the way to St. Michael\u2019s Cathedral, the asphalt was adorned with colorful flowers, forming what seemed to be a giant communal garden for the celebration. Not only children, but also youth, adults, and seniors picked up chalk to create something beautiful and shared\u2014expressing their love for nature and creativity, two of Magdi\u2019s most defining traits.<\/p>\n The youngest visitors will enjoy “Magdi\u2019s Toy Chest”<\/strong>, where families can play games inspired by the life of B\u00f3di M\u00e1ria Magdolna. Through these playful activities, the young role model\u2019s virtues\u2014such as courage, hope, and joy\u2014come alive, touching the imagination of children and the hearts of their parents alike.<\/p>\n At the Bir\u00f3-Giczey House<\/strong>, the “Creative Garden”<\/strong> offers a courtyard where handicrafts and faith meet: participants can make Magdi-themed traveler\u2019s stones, design family crests, decorate keychains, or even learn hand embroidery. Many of these activities are inspired by the virtues highlighted in the spiritual booklet about Magdi\u2019s life\u2014love of nature, spiritual strength, creativity, joy, and courage.<\/p>\n An adventurous experience is offered by the Magdi Tour<\/strong>, an interactive treasure hunt and code-breaking game. Through this quest, participants are playfully introduced to the life, mission, and spirit of B\u00f3di M\u00e1ria Magdolna.<\/p>\n Magdi Tour times:<\/strong><\/p>\n Saturday, May 10: 12:00\u201318:00<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Sunday, May 11: 12:00\u201318:00 On Saturday, May 10 at 3:30 PM<\/strong>, a podium discussion titled Magdi\u2019s Legacy<\/em> will be held about B\u00f3di M\u00e1ria Magdolna, also at the Bir\u00f3-Giczey House.<\/p>\n During Gizella Days, visitors will also have the opportunity to view the roll-up exhibition<\/strong> about the life and faith of B\u00f3di M\u00e1ria Magdolna.<\/p>\n The postponement of the beatification is not a setback but rather an invitation to a deeper, richer, and more intense spiritual connection. Magdi\u2019s example radiates the light of trust in God especially in the most difficult times.
